Updates?! On my blog? More likely than you think

Going on that Tokidoki post, I did get a bag, sexy little thing <3 The design is just like what is posted here but the bag looks like a nice handy little thing. I like taking it with me on Friday's or Saturday's going out. :] Makes me happeh desu desu~

Other than that:

Cry me a river and I say this to myself but Nanay prefers Mark more. Not that I'm complaining much since more on him than me.

"6 weird/quirky habits/things about yourself"

[Each player of this game starts with the "6 weird/quirky habits/things about yourself" and people who get tagged need to write a blog of their 6 weird/quirky/things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names but you can't tag someone who's tagged you. Don't forget to leave a comment that says, "you've been tagged!" in their comment area, tell them to read yours.]

1. I hang out at Sean's store as much as I do staying at home, going to school, or going to work (well maybe not that much but just about). Yes it is scary. Yes I can say that I fricken love that store and the people in it. No I'm not high on sugar at this very moment, Sean. So I be a bum but that store is awesome to just be at. I remember I would just stay there for so long, just look at things, almost not buy anything, and leave, always trying to remember to thank the guy who stood behind the counter. Then recently before going to Guam for vacation, began to open up to the owner and started hanging out there for a good long time. It wasn't like this before, probably because of a rough patch Sean was going through cause he really did change later on. It makes me happy to see him happier now muwhahaha. Cue in childish antics in store haha! I go whenever I can or whenever I'm in the area, I just like being there. Talking to Sean, Jon, Craig, and Gordon is the awesome icing-on-the-cake. Yeah, yeah, I know already: "Buy something! No discount! Why you in store eh?! Stop wasting time!" Yeah. I feel pretty bad about that but as long they don't disown this one, it'll take a lot to keep me from visiting even for a little bit.

2. I have this long infatuation with figurines. I have a whole bunch (mainly from Sean's store) that's in a bag waiting to be put out in display. ONCE I GET A SHELF OR SOMETHING THAT IS. Eh, I'm biding my time but I admit it: I like collecting figurines of my liking. Current infatuations: Tokidoki mini figurines Cactus Pups and Moofia and Haruhi figurines. Slowly starting to think about car models...

3. Green tea. Hot or cold. Doesn't matter, it has to be one of the best drinks out there. <3 Keeps me up or helps me sleep, doesn't matter, it just tastes good and refreshes me. Best one I like out here is the Ito En Green Tea. <3 <3

4. I like my hair long. It just feels right. Never had short hair before; shortest I've allowed it to be cut was maybe a bit after the shoulders but that's it. So hopefully I keep my hair healthy so I can keep it even longer than before. Now to take care of that stupid problem and root of all stress.

5. I have a bad habit of looking over my shoulder, rechecking if I locked something, or checking my backpack if I zipped it securely. Such is my life with some paranoia or something of the sort. I got this from my mom who would do the same things. Ouch.

6. Whenever people ask me to guess their age, 8-9/10 times I will guess them a younger age than what they really are. It's good since it leads to funny stories, compliments, are embarrassing situations hehe.

Tokidoki

The first thing that comes to mind is the ultra-adorable objects of cuteness or the Japanese word for 'sometimes'; take your pick. While out shopping today, there were a bunch of girls with LeSportsac bags with those ultra adorable Tokidoki designs. I was browsing already for a new bag (Chi was starting to fall apart....and I think it's probably time to change to a different style that can hold more but still be small enough) but I couldn't really find one that was right for me. Big bags or small bags are ones that I'm not really going for and it's like they're in their own genre. However, the LeSportsac Tokidoki bags do seem to fit what I'm looking for in a bag. I'll probably browse the stores now...

Moving along, Tokidoki is created by Italian artist Simone Legno and business partners Pooneh Mohajer and Ivan Arnold (wife and husband team). They teamed up with LeSportsac and together put out a line of bags with the Tokidoki designs. From over here there's a teaser discussing the new design for a November release and the main site over here.

Found these old yet pretty pictures

I was going through some old photos today and found one particular pretty:

A friend gave me this picture the first semester I was here in Hawaii. His details on how he acquired such a photo is still vague but nevertheless, it's a picture that seems to calm me down. Probably because it has something to do with it's meaning, the colors, or because I'm fond of cherry blossoms. Not because of its usage in media or anything of that sort, but because I like flowers. Go on and ask a girl, or anyone, if they dislike flowers; you'd get mix responses. Nah, I got allergies. That's not my type of flower. I prefer this over that. Whatever. Flowers can brighten up a day whether it be physically (put on a table) or emotionally (giving it to someone). Try it out, sometimes all you need is a plant to soothe the nerves.

This picture I took on Guam in 2005 for a calendar contest. Not my best picture but I have to admit, that sunset looked pretty awesome when driving by one day. Warm colors and how the sunlight was positioned won me over.

Evening colors yet the dots make it seems whimsical.

And as I put more pictures, my comments on them get shorter and shorter. So in the spirit of finding old pictures and posting, I'll do them again with different subjects.

Mike! First picture I ever took of him and second time we met (1st being the Okinawan Bon Dance in 2006). Taken during the Halloween GT at McDonald's in Ala Moana. Yeah, you're wondering what the hell am I doing going to a McDonald's. Yeah. Uh. A get together, that was all. It was better, it was a Halloween one! To cosplayer's, Halloween is something like a pre-con thing. You wear the clothes, make some changes or adjustments, get feedback, and bring it to the convention should you choose. It may not be on everyone's list but from how I see some people do it, that's how it goes. I digress, that's Mike. Awesome guy. Goes to UHManoa. He may not look it but yeah, he stay cool. Just ask him. If you're good with his pidgin. Hehe.

Guess who these people are~ Yep, it's Leslie and someone at the airport, the last day on Guam in 2006. Yeah, pretty sad it was. Oh. That's not a melon, it's my Japanese stuffed turtle's head :D! Keitaro! Well, you can't really see him...except for his head. I 'found' (as in bought) him in Japan in 2005 during a soccer tournament. He was hiding among all these Japanese pillows with the smooshi texture inside the department store our team went to. He's been my constant stuffed animal companion ever since, until I got Tony Chopper Chopper from 2007 Kawaii Kon.

Okay. Yes, I found this. One of the few pictures I took with the Razor phone that I'm proud of: TOTORO. What's better you ask? I FOUND IT ON KCC CAMPUS. Yeah so it appears we have ourselves a Totoro fan on campus. During 2006. And I never saw it again.

One of THE best pictures taken during our Drama event in Japan during 2006. It was our last breakfast over there (assuming it to be true since our friend is wearing her medals from the awards ceremony) and we were just innocently eating breakfast. Kennon however....yeah, he tastes things in a special way. Maple syrup cartons are the best, aren't they? Tasting them by itself is just as good on pancakes and a lot of fun. And those two tea bottle next to him, awesome! And yet I still don't know who took this picture of us.

Well, there you have it, 7 old yet pretty good pictures that I found while browsing old pictures. End~!

What's in a name

So.

WHY THE HELL 'NINJAS WITH STRAWBERRIES'?!

I shall tell you why. A long, long time ago, in a galaxy far away, Naboo was under attack...
...
So there was no galaxy far, far away and there was never a place called Naboo except in that one 2 piece trilogy with the Star Wars name to it.
One more thing; I'm noticing already that ninjas could equal to Naruto and Strawberries could mean Ichigo in the popular manga/anime called Bleach.
Ninja/Uzumaki - Naruto + Strawberries x Ichigo^2 = Not what I had in mind
And that's even a real equation. I tried to make it look cool.

So let me give some history lesson that will probably work its way back into a job I hopefully want to take on later in life. Of course, I heard this from second hand sources but I think it's just as good. If my memory allows me to remember.

Ninjas aren't viewed as those in the colorful mangas and anime we love so much. However we love the fiction just as much as the fact. Ninjas were people who devoted time to the art of information gathering and escaping, not the full on fighting that we usually see in most media. Don't get me wrong, they knew how to fight but what made their skills special was a special array of tools and weapons to help them escape or slow down an enemy. I have to say, ninjas were the ultimate in spy and info networks.

So.

Strawberries D:?!

Plain and simple. I love them. :D

So school will start the week of August 25, meaning that right now, I currently have 23 days left. Whew~! So far I'm just working at Krazy Karaoke for the time being. Summary of the summer of 2008:

- Flew back to Guam for a family visit on May 31st. Stop over in Japan for 3 hours and then it was back home on Guam ground at 1:20 am.
- Enjoyed time with family.
- Went to a Sea Cadet's drill on Saturday. Amused yet disappointed in the unit and myself... Two years really did change everything.
- Spent time with Rhy and Leslie, two of the best friends I could ask for.
- Also spent time with the guys, also some good times.
- Went to Pacific Island's Club on two different occasions, the highlight of the summer.
- Boarded the plane and went back to Hawaii.

That's the gist of it.
